Yes, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when seeing a Psychiatrist, Paediatrician, or Psychologist at Mind Oasis Clinic, provided you have a valid referral from a GP or a Specialist. The rebate typically covers a portion of the consultation fee, with the patient responsible for paying the gap between the rebate and the total consultation fee.
It is important to note that confirming eligibility for a Medicare rebate is the responsibility of the patient. Our clinic does not take responsibility if a rebate claim is being rejected. Medicare has strict criteria for rebates, and certain services may not be covered. For instance, for Psychiatrist initial telehealth consultation (Item 92437), if a patient has seen a psychiatrist within the last two years, they are not eligible for a rebate for that service.
To ensure eligibility, we recommend patients review the Medicare item details and rebate criteria through the Medicare Benefit Schedule. This will help you confirm whether your consultation qualifies for a rebate prior to your appointment.
